Frequently Asked Questions

I offer both therapy and coaching. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Hawaii and a Certified Life Coach worldwide. Therapy is available for individuals seeking mental health support, while coaching is designed for those looking for guidance, clarity, and forward-focused growth. These are separate services with different goals and structures.

Therapy is a space to process emotions, heal from past experiences, and work through mental health challenges. I specialize in anxiety, women’s issues, and PTSD, and use a blend of Brainspotting, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and client-centered approaches to support meaningful and lasting change.
-
Coaching is a forward-focused process designed to help you gain clarity, shift patterns, and move toward the life you want to create. Unlike therapy, coaching does not involve diagnosing or treating mental health conditions. Instead, it focuses on present and future goals, decision-making, and personal growth.

Working with me is both supportive and direct. I aim to create a space that feels relaxed, flexible, and engaging, while also staying focused on your growth and goals. I respect your autonomy, meet you where you are, sprinkle in some good jokes here and there, and help you move forward in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.

Yes, I accept HMSA, HMSA Quest, UHA, and HMAA insurance. Please note that I can only accept insurance for therapy clients living in Hawaii. Life coaching is not covered by insurance and must be paid for out-of-pocket.

I teach a hip hop dance class on the side! While it might not be a profoundly groundbreaking part of your healing journey, I am a firm advocate of getting out of the therapy/healing space every once in a while and just having fun. It’s a great space in the community to connect with awesome, like-minded people.
